Our client, a leading independent exchange for a wide range of companies, is seeking to recruit an Analyst for their Listings Department.


Guernsey, Channel Islands


Assist with scrutinising all levels of listing applications for listings of different entities to establish suitability in accordance with the listing rules, focusing on ensuring all applications are suitably vetted in correlation with the listing rules.
Provide responses to listings applications via comments letters which are sent directly to the applicable listing sponsor.
Support the decision making process in respect of applications by presenting and making recommendations to the listing and membership committee.
Undertake appropriate due diligence under the guidance of the Director and Head of Risk, Regulation and Compliance to ensure that all pertinent information of an issuer is identified and report those findings for consideration.
Monitor and act upon any subsequent responses received from listing sponsors.
Process applications to approval stage which involves entering information onto the Market Data Management Services system (MDMS) in line with listing timetables.
Offer support with scanning and filing of documents onto the MDMS and collating final listing application documents which will then be presented to listing and membership committee for final approval of an applicant’s securities.
Assist with the training, on boarding and continued development of Assistant Analysts.
Work closely with the Risk, Regulation and Compliance (RRC) Department to assist and provide advice where appropriate.
Meet with listing sponsors.
Ensure relationships with your relevant listing sponsors are built and maintained.
Offer support with taking general enquiries in connection with (but not limited to) interpretation of the listings rules, new products, potential issuers and corporate actions in conjunction with the Senior Analysts and management.
Carry out ad-hoc bespoke projects for the listings department, the authority and the company as directed by the Senior Manager or the Head of Listings.
Attend appropriate training courses as relevant to the individual and role.
Keep up to date with technical matters and industry developments to maintain and improve industry knowledge.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to Degree level or equivalent, with previous securities exchange/regulatory experience and a minimum of 2 years' experience within a professional finance organisation. Applicants will have an interest in continuing professional development with a desire to be constantly challenged in an ever changing environment. They will be methodical and organised with the ability to work independently and autonomously, as well as in a team, with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and will provide an analytical approach to situation and be able to manage and prioritise workloads.The role will suit a confident and self-motivated individual, who demonstrates leadership qualities, has proven communication skills, the ability to deliver and present information effectively to people at all levels and can meet deadlines in a pressurised environment.
