Our client an independent insurance manager that prides itself on offering objective and innovative solutions to a range of private and corporate clients, is seeking to recruit an Account Executive.


Guernsey, Channel Islands


Manage a portfolio of captive insurance companies and accounts/cells, within a segregated accounts company/ PCC.
Produce accurate accounting, underwriting and company secretarial information on a timely basis, to enable the captive Boards and controllers to make informed decisions.
Liaise with parent company, insurance regulator, directors and service providers.
Escalate issues of significance to the team leader.
Adhere to policies, procedures and compliance manual.
Maintain timesheets on a daily / weekly basis.
Manage policy administration and documentation, along with claims administration including reporting and recording.
Underwrite decisions in conjunction with Directors and assist with the renewal and new classes of business.
Monitor risk gap and seek GFSC approval of change to business plan, where appropriate.
Check insurance documentation and obtain Board approval.
Ensure the production of management accounts, statutory accounts and information, budgets, cashflow statements and supplementary information, as required.
Assist with the adoption of appropriate accounting practices and ensure adherence thereto.
Monitor margins of solvency
Complete monthly bank reconciliation, the posting of bank investment transactions and posting of monthly bordereaux.
Manage the daily cash requirements of companies.
Perform relevant company secretarial functions, including liaison with the Co Sec department.
Coordinate and attend Board meetings, leading discussions as necessary.
Check client travel arrangements and overnight arrangements.
Produce Board pack to agreed standards and timing.
Ensure that minutes are produced, reviewed and circulated to all attendees within 10 working days.
Produce action points immediately after minutes are produced.
Maintain Corporate Governance framework and client procedures' manuals.
Retain contact with local directors and keep them advised of developments with client.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess an ACCA qualification, with minimum 1 years’ experience in a relevant role with a good understanding of accounts and preferably knowledge of captive insurance and client administration. Applicants will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. This role will suit a professional individual who will deliver a high standard of client service and perform with efficiency and attention to detail, meeting pre-set deadlines at all times.
